Fold your fingers in so your thumb and pinky are touching. Wrap a tape measure or strip of paper snugly around the widest part of your hand. 
(If between sizes, size up.)
+ x-small (7 inches and below)
+ small (7.5 inches)

+ large (8.5 inches)
